Description:

The Coordinator of Events, Media Outreach Promoter, and Bulletin Editor reports primarily to the Pastor and Operations Director. This role supports and assists the Pastor in developing and organizing events and outreach ministries for the parish, as well as creating the parish bulletin.

This position involves utilizing evangelization efforts to invite and encourage community members to engage more fully in ministry, and to invite the unengaged to participate in parish life.

The coordinator oversees current volunteer groups and develops new outreach initiatives both within the parish and in the community. Ensuring that all formation activities and events align with the parish’s mission, goals, and values, and are compliant with parish and Archdiocesan policies, is essential. All responsibilities should be carried out in a spirit of Christian service.

Requirements:
  • Necessary training, education, and background in evangelization and outreach efforts.
  • Prior experience in evangelization is preferred.
  • Experience in organizing and executing events.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule, and produce work efficiently.
  • Initiative and self-direction.
  • High level of discretion and integrity.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Passionate disciple of Jesus Christ and a practicing Catholic.
  • Understanding, respect, and support for the Catholic Church’s teachings, mission, and social teachings.
  • Associate’s Degree in media creation or marketing experience.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s Degree in media creation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in publishing, design, or outreach.
Experience:
  • Church outreach ministry experience is preferred.
Skills Required:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Canva, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
