Role Overview

We are looking for a Marketing Design Manager who wants to help build the marketing strategy from the ground up. You’ll partner directly with the CMO to shape our marketing strategy and own day-to-day execution across marketing, events, digital, and communications. This role is ideal for a hands-on marketer who loves wearing multiple hats, brings fresh ideas, and thrives in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Help Create:

  • Partner with the CMO to shape CMORoom’s marketing roadmap, channels, and processes, with a strong focus on both organic and paid social media.
  • Help design and define the strategy across all marketing channels promoting events and marketing programs such as CMO Spotlight and CMORoom Live.
  • Contribute ideas for new ideas, (content, events, campaigns) to deepen engagement with the CMO community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Marketing & Events Campaigns
    • Partner with CMO on end-to-end event logistics for approximately 30+ events per year.
    • Support the CMO with the launch, production, and promotion of the CMORoom podcast series, including guest coordination, scheduling, assets, and distribution.
    • Support the CMO with CMORoom Spotlight interviews, from guest outreach and prep to content capture, publishing, and amplification across channels.
    • Maintain and update event pages using Wix (or similar website platform).
    • Manage and upload contacts in Hub Spot (or similar CRM/marketing automation platform).
    • Capture on-site photography and short-form video at events for use across social, email, and web.
  • Social Media Campaigns
    • Execute media strategies that drive awareness, pipeline, and revenue, translating business goals into high-impact campaigns and clear, measurable results.
    • Publish content, visuals and video to promote events, drive awareness, spur engagement, and build community growth.
    • Execute a robust, multi-channel content calendar that plans, coordinates, and optimizes all campaigns for impact and consistency.
    • Monitor channels daily, respond to comments and DMs, and manage community interactions in brand voice.
    • Track and analyze performance, provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Email Marketing Campaigns
    • Manage and execute email campaigns and e-blasts to drive event attendance, engagement, and brand awareness.
    • Edit and proof communications to ensure segmentations are prominent.
    • Set up and schedule campaigns in Hub Spot (or similar platform).
    • Curate and manage qualified contacts, build distribution lists.
    • Track, measure, and report on campaign performance.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proven experience managing paid campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Linked In, and Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
    • Experience with design platforms such as Canva or similar.
    • Experience with website platforms such as Wix or similar.
    • Experience with CRM/marketing automation tool such as Hub Spot or a similar
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    Required Qualifications
    • 5+ years of marketing experience, events, community, or professional services.
    • 5+ years of experience in social media and paid media strategy.
    • Ability to travel and provide on-site event support as needed.
    • Strong writing, proofing, and editing skills.
    • Experience with photography and videography.
    • Exceptional attention to detail across all responsibilities.
    • Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.
    • Self-starter mindset: proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating with ambiguity.
