this Role
Builders Vision is seeking a versatile Communications Manager to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a communications generalist to support a diverse array of priorities across internal and external platforms. As part of the communications team, you will be responsible for employee communications, digital content, campaigns, event communications, and inclusive storytelling that embodies our organizational values.

- Write, edit and proof communications materials, including internal messaging, media releases, website articles, social content, and more.
- Support internal communications, including key messaging, organization-wide announcements, newsletters, intranet content, and company town halls.
- Develop and manage content for digital and social media channels (primarily Linked In and website) to ensure brand alignment and impact.
- Collaborate with external agencies and consultants, providing guidance, content, and strategic input to execute communications initiatives effectively.
- Partner with the Director of Strategic Convenings on event communications, including planning, messaging, coordination with speakers/panelists, email campaigns, and post-event follow-up.
- Manage communications projects, coordinating schedules, tasks, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
- Track, analyze and report on communications metrics, e.g., media coverage, social engagement, and event performance, to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
- 7–8 years of in-house or agency public relations experience, with a focus on corporate reputation, content/message development, and/or internal communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- Creative storyteller with a talent for developing narratives and concepts that engage audiences across multiple channels.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills across a variety of communications materials and channels.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience in event communications, including planning, messaging, coordination, and post-event evaluation.
- Proficient in internal communications tools and platforms, with the ability to track and analyze engagement and outcomes.
- Hands-on digital and social media experience, particularly managing corporate channels like Linked In and website content.
- Analytical thinker, able to interpret communications data to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
