Job DescriptionThis role is based in our Chicago Office.
As a vital member of the show management team, you will collaborate closely with the Group Event Director and Marketing Lead to develop and execute comprehensive event marketing strategies across both digital and traditional channels.
Role Accountability and Duties- Collaborate on marketing strategy for IME’s show brands and align with event goals
- Create, manage, and produce attendee and exhibitor promotional campaigns
- Analyze attendee segments and personas to drive attendance and meet KPIs
- Tactical execution of marketing campaigns
- Partner with central marketing to bring show brands to life and align with messaging
- Work cross‑functional teams on themes, ideas, schedules (sales, event, digital, graphics, email, web, data, ops, conference)
- Oversee development and production of digital and printed collateral for in‑person and virtual events
- Drive continuous improvement and propose fresh ideas for event marketing impact
- Develop relationships with external media partners for barter and advertising opportunities
- Own website content and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Manage marketing budgets and costs
- Post‑show analysis of marketing campaigns, post‑show surveys
- Travel 15% of the time and work across time zones
- Minimum 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in trade show or events environment
- Solid understanding of SEO, PPC, and social media
- Influencer marketing experience is desirable
- High creativity and outside‑box thinking for innovative marketing strategies
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools to track and measure performance
- Thrives in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment, independent and team member
- Experience managing budgets and multiple project timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication, copywriting and editing experience
- Smart planning and keen attention to detail for large event management (
Eloqua, Wrike
) - Analytics experience (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and basic HTML is a plus
