Position Summary

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of outbound orders and maintaining clear communication between departments. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both digital shipment planning and hands‑on operations on the warehouse floor. The Shipping Supervisor will serve as the primary point of contact for all shipping‑related inquiries and will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless, efficient handoffs between shifts.

    The Shipping Supervisor & Shipping team are the anchor of the process. This role ensures that every order leaves our facility on time, correctly packed, and aligned with customer expectations — protecting our reputation for reliability and service. By coordinating with production, packing, account management, and other key teams, the Shipping Supervisor prevents delays, avoids costly shipping errors, and maintains seamless communication across shifts.

    Duties
    • Organize and maintain the daily ship list to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of all orders.
    • Provide shipment planning updates to internal teams, keeping all departments informed.
    • Monitor and flag any “at‑risk” orders that may require additional attention or expedited shipping options.
    • Oversee and execute a flawless shift handoff between first and second shifts.
    • Ensure all departments (production, packing, account management, etc.) understand shipping priorities and deadlines.
    • Proactively communicate order status changes and address any potential delays.
    • Serve as the primary resource for the Shipping Department, providing answers to questions and guiding clerks and team members.
    • Support other departments by providing clarity on shipping procedures, schedules, and expectations.
    • Maintain a visible presence on the shipping floor, assisting with operations and ensuring smooth interdepartmental collaboration.
    • Utilize internal platforms and email systems to manage shipments, communicate with other departments, and document updates.
    • Balance time between computer-based work (25%–50%) and floor support (50%–75%) to optimize department performance.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • This role operates in a warehouse environment and may also require periodic work in standard office settings.
