Extrusion Technician – Market

To further strengthen and expand its customer support activities in the United States, the Company is seeking a highly experienced Extrusion Technician who is already working in the field of extrusion and plant start‑up activities
.

We are specifically looking for a professional who already performs extrusion line start‑ups and commissioning activities as part of their current role
, with solid, hands‑on and proven experience in plastics extrusion processes.

The ideal candidate is not an entry‑level technician
, but a figure who is already expert in:

• Extrusion processes
• Start‑up and commissioning of extrusion lines
• On‑site troubleshooting and optimisation
• Customer‑facing technical support

The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of the USA market, operating directly at customers’ facilities and contributing to the expansion of Bausano’s technical assistance services across the country.

This position requires full autonomy in managing extrusion line start‑ups
, strong decision‑making capability and extensive prior experience in commissioning extrusion plants.

Availability to relocate and travel within the United States is mandatory, working in close coordination with both the Italian headquarters and the Chicago representative office.

• Set up, configure and operate extrusion lines according to technical specifications and production requirements
• Independently manage installation, commissioning and start‑up activities at customers’ facilities in the United States
• Lead extrusion line start‑up phases, ensuring correct process stabilisation and optimisation
• Monitor and optimise critical process parameters to ensure consistent product quality, dimensional accuracy and process stability
• Provide advanced on‑site technical assistance and troubleshooting during extrusion plant start‑up
• Solve process and mechanical issues related to extrusion systems with full operational autonomy
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments to implement corrective actions and performance improvements
• Execute and supervise routine maintenance activities
• Deliver technical guidance and operational training to customer personnel during and after plant commissioning

• Proven and consolidated experience in plastics extrusion processes
• Demonstrated experience in start‑up and commissioning of extrusion lines
• Experience already gained in a similar role involving extrusion plant installation and customer site activities
• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to independently manage extrusion line start‑up phases
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical and mechanical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and strong process‑oriented mindset
• Basic computer literacy and ability to document technical interventions and production data
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer‑facing activities
• Full availability to travel extensively within the United States
• High level of autonomy, responsibility and commitment to quality and safety
