CNC Operator – Chicago, IL

Oberg Medical is looking for skilled CNC Operators to join our Chicago team. If you take pride in producing precision parts, enjoy working with advanced machinery, and thrive in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, this is the role for you! We are accepting applications to fill both daylight shift and night shift positions.
What You’ll Do:- Set up & operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints & engineering drawings.
- Modify CNC programs and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Select the right cutters and determine proper feeds & speeds.
- Check finished parts to tight tolerances (up to 4 decimal places).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Train team members as needed and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
- Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and GD&T preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or able to comply with U.S. export regulations.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of the apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Ability to stand, sit, or bend for up to 10 hours per day.
- Lift up to 35 lbs. independently and with control.
- Reach overhead, use hands for extended periods, and maintain dexterity.
- Ability to stoop or kneel for extended durations.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Regular movement through manufacturing areas near industrial machinery and moderate noise levels.
- This is an on-site role; remote work is not available.
