Quality Control Inspector.

Location:

Chicago, IL 60639. Pay Rate: $20.00/hr shift: 1st Shift.

• Press Brake Set-up / Operator — capable of setting up and operating a variety of CNC and manual press brakes.
• Read drawings and written work orders required in the fabrication of formed parts.
• Set up of press brakes (Amada, Accupress, Cincinnati).
• Maintain all shop equipment, tools and fixtures for the purpose of ensuring availability and functioning of equipment in the forming department.
• Keep accurate production paperwork/records including, but not limited to 1st piece inspection, number of parts produced, defective units produced per job, communicate non-conforming items, shortages to QC Inspector or Supervisor.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and to work with any/all specified tolerances.
• Read decimal charts and simple/complex drawings to verify product identification and requirements.

• Proficiency with measurement tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers) and ability to verify tolerances.
• Experience in quality inspection and fabrication environments preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Good documentation skills for production records and first-piece inspections.
