  • Summary/Objective

    Responsible for overseeing the Inventory Team and ensuring the integrity of company Perpetual Inventory Program. Production support to ensure on-time customer delivery of a quality product. Plans and conducts Physical Inventory with Inventory Control Leader. Ensures 5S, Lean, and all safety policies by following established operating procedures. Responsible for continuous improvement concerning processes and team members and developing future leaders and succession plan.

    Responsible for leading the team; promoting and ensuring compliance to company’s Core Values, Mission Statement and Leader qualities. Adhering to LCI’s company policies and safety regulations.

    Essential Functions
  • Ensures inventory team members comply with company safety protocol.
  • Monitors WIP, Error Log, Exception, and runs weekly inventory reports.
  • Participates in evaluations and ensures that policies are adhered to fairly.
  • Assists with conflict resolution when needed.
  • Provides data to the Inventory Control Leader for Division Metrics.
  • Ensures audits are completed for the part boxes.
  • Assigns team members to-to box and location audits.
  • Verifies discrepancies in inventory on hand balances and reconciles variance to find root cause of discrepancy.
  • Promotes Lean initiatives, develops and executes improvements in processes and team members.
  • Ensures the integrity of company perpetual inventory system and programs.
  • Participates in Physical Inventory with Inventory Control Leader as required.
  • Conducts month-end Inventory counts required by Accounting.
  • Plans and executes daily Cycle Counts and maintains ABC code assignment for material.
  • Assists Yard Leader to identify parts returned from production and determines Inventory adjustment method.
  • Continuous education for self to develop leadership skills and best practices to grow Inventory team, participates in plant meetings as required and leadership coaching sessions.

  • Supervisory Responsibility

    This role will have direct report from all cycle counter team members in the materials department.

    Physical Demands

    While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the employee is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
