ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Safety
    • Assist in Supervision of the application of all Plant Safety Rules and Regulations
    • Always use of proper PPE
    • Hand and dispose of hazardous material and per policy as outlined by all relevant regulations
  • Quality
    • Assist in processes, equipment, employees, safety and housekeeping of the area, and meeting production quality and quality standards
    • Responsible for producing continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followed
    • Maintain thorough knowledge of processes and equipment of their area
    • Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations and procedures are followed
    • Compliance to ISO 9001
    • Complete Manufacturing/Quality documents
    • Communicate with internally concerning deviations or general requests to Supervisor, SHEQ personnel, production employees
    • Coordinate 6s and lean manufacturing practices
  • Environmental
    • Verify compliance to local, state, and federal regulations
    • Report any HAZMAT discrepancy to Supervisor, SHEQ personnel, Production Manager, and Plant Manager
  • Primary Production Responsibilities
    • Coordinate all personnel and operation on the shift
    • Organize work for smooth operation; issue and distribute production schedule in a daily basis; and notify production changes to production personnel immediately
    • Constant internal communication with Supervisors and PTLs
    • Independently operate machines, and equipment when necessary
    • Utilize Company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.
    • Follow direction and product required quantities
    • Trains, upgrades, evaluates and reviews operators
    • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with other operators, maintenance, and management
    • Report any conditions of concern regarding any processes and equipment failures, products, materials, or safety immediately to Supervisor, Production Manager, and SHEQ personnel
  • OTHER DUTIES
    • Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition
      • Perform all other duties as required or requested
    QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
    • High School Diploma or GED
      • Previous experience in similar industrial manufacturing
      • Knowledge of machinery, strong leadership and communication skills
      • Hazardous Material Handling
    LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
    • Forklift License (Preferably)
    PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
    • Problem solving skills to influence overall efficiency, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc.
    • Must be self-motivated
    • Attention to details, organization ability to interact well with Supervisors, co-workers and production employees.
    • Ability to work well under pressure
    VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
    • Use verbal and computer skills to report production information to management
    WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
    • Complete reports such as production, quality, and inventory legibly
    COMPUTER SKILLS
    • Internal manufacturing systems
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shift
    • Ability to stand, kneel/stoop, and walk for the duration of the shift
    • Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination
    • While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud environments, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions
    • Vision: 20/20 corrected; and normal hearing range
    • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment – cold in winter months and hot in the summer months
    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
    • Boots: steel or composite toed
    • Safety Glasses
    • Gloves: latex, work gloves, etc.
    • Hearing Protection
    • Properly fitted clothing
    • Full mask
    • Hard hat (when necessary)
    PAY

    PAY: The range is $26.00– $26.51 per hour + shift differential. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate’s experience, work location, skills, etc.
