Job Overview
This position is responsible for inventory control in the maintenance department, as well as receiving and storing parts, maintenance supplies, and miscellaneous received materials while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Stockroom attendants are responsible for maintaining control of spare parts and repair materials that are required to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient production.
Applicants will be considered for a stockroom position opening on A‑shift within the facility and will be required to work some overtime and weekends when business needs arise.
RequirementsEducation: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Parts service or parts counter experience preferred.
Computer
Skills:
Basic computer skills and be able to learn the Tyson SAP materials management system.
Communication
Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of site personnel. Stockroom personnel must be able to work safely and independently at all times. Must be able to read, write, and interpret equipment manuals and technical instructions where required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet during shift.
Shift & Work EnvironmentShift: Monday‑Friday 6am - 2:30pm with some Saturdays required when maintenance support is necessary.
Environment will primarily be in the maintenance shop with occasional work in a refrigerated area.
