Bindery Operator

Responsibilities

• Perform bindery duties in the production and fulfillment of yearbooks, books, student planners, commercial printing jobs.
• Ensures all print jobs are processed correctly and moved to the next production step on a timely basis.
• Responsible for trimming or binding commercial work such as business cards, postcards, flyers, forms, catalogs, etc.
• Responsible to learn various bindery machinery like saddle stitch, perfect bind, coil bind, covers, lamination, folding, trimming, punch and automatic coiler.
• Packages shipments of yearbook or student planners or commercial print jobs for customers.
• Learn and practice cleaning and maintenance procedures on all assigned equipment.
• Willing to train staff on safe operation of equipment.

• High school diploma
• Be able to lift 50 lb. throughout shift.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions
• Work in a changing production environment
• Bindery experience preferred
