Training Supervisor
Responsibilities:The Training Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising training programs across all production departments. This role ensures that new hires, transfers, and existing employees receive the skills required to perform effectively. The Training Supervisor develops training standards, monitors progress, and partners with managers to align workforce skills with operational needs.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise training programs for new hires, transfers, and upskilling of current employees.
- Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and skills certification standards.
- Track and monitor training progress through skills matrices and provide regular reports.
- Coordinate with supervisors and managers to align training schedules with production needs.
- Supervise trainers and training operators, ensuring consistency and quality of instruction.
- Lead onboarding processes for new employees, ensuring rapid integration into production roles.
- Support cross-training initiatives to build workforce flexibility and resilience.
- Maintain and update the skills matrix by department.
- Supervise and coach trainers in teaching methods and performance monitoring.
- Develop and standardize training manuals, videos, and visual aids.
- Monitor training effectiveness through UPH and efficiency metrics.
- Report weekly training progress to management and recommend adjustments.
- Coordinate onboarding sessions (orientation, safety, compliance).
- Collaborate with HR on training records and employee certifications.
Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees.
Required:- Industrial Engineering, Education, HR, or related degrees.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) with basic English.
- 3–5 years of experience in training, supervision, or manufacturing leadership roles.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple departments and shifts.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in apparel/textile manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and cross-training systems.
