Heat ; 2nd Helper

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Heat Treat/2nd Helper for our operation in Pittsburgh, PA. The Heat Treat 2nd Helper is a member of our Heat Treat team responsible for set up and maintenance of heat treat equipment and assists in heat treating operations.

Wages, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), Additional Paid Relief Days, and $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS.

$21.00 per hour.

1st (days)

• Assists 1st helper in cleaning and furnace set up
• Changes quench sprays and pack-ups
• Unloads tempering boxes
• Centers rolls in furnaces and quench
• Vents rolls in annealing furnace
• Sets up or cleans rolls for initial ultrasonic test
• Performs other department duties, as assigned

• Must be capable of lifting up to 80 lbs regularly
• Exposed to heat from furnace and hot metal
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Previous foundry or construction experience preferred
• Must be able to work any shift as needed

Must pass pre-employment criminal background check, physical and drug screen. Classification:
Hourly.
