Shipping Clerk - Shipping - 1st

The shipping clerk is responsible for performing various clerical duties that are required to accurately receive, maintain and distribute materials and coordinate the shipment of finished product. The shipping clerk works effectively as a team contributor on all required tasks, works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees.

The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at Mauserare dynamic. The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any  all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list:

• Maintains and file shipping documents
  • Generates BOL (bill of lading) for outbound freight
  • Schedules LTL (less than HWND) with LTL carriers
  • Performs check-in of inbound freight
  • Completes daily cycle counts of finished goods

• Makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the job, efficiency, quality and quantity.

• Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

• Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge andbeelden to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. In-depth knowledge of changeovers.

• This position requires a high school degree or its equivalent; at least one to three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
  • Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude, skills in basic mathematical calculations

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand on concrete floors. Frequent amounts of bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling are required.
  • The employee must regularly be able to do light/medium amounts of lifting and carrying (1–50lbs) in order to manually unload received materials and distribute to appropriate departments or storage areas.
  • This job is performed in the manufacturing production environment, with some exposure to outside weather elements.
  • Exposure to high noise levels in some areas, including exposure to oil, and dirt.

Inside conditions, extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), exposureizzato to humidity, working in tight areas, high noise levels from production environment, including some exposure to outside weather elements, oil and dirt.

The payrate is $23.63/hour.
