AboutThe Role
Responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance staff and maintaining Food Safety and Quality Assurance Management Systems to support manufacturing of wholesome and quality food. FSQA Manager serves as SQF Practitioner, develops, maintains and oversees implementation of Policies and Procedures in accordance with SQF 2000 code. Culinary Director has been identified as a backup to FSQA Manager's / SQF practitioner's position.
How You'll Spend Your Time At Tovala - Primary Responsibilities
- Serves as Lead SQF Practitioner for Tovala.
- Leads 3rd party audits and annual SQF audit.
- Serves as a primary contact for all regulatory inspections.
- Oversees corrective actions and preventive measures related to food safety quality non-conformities.
- Develops and maintains Policies and Procedures and monitoring forms in accordance with SQF System.
- Oversees implementation of developed Policies and Procedures. Conducts documentation and records daily verification.
- Maintains HACCP Food Safety System. Serves as HACCP Coordinator.
- Conducts annual HACCP reassessments and plan verification.
- Develops and maintains SSOPs.
- Responsible for overseeing cleaning and housekeeping activities within company premises.
- Responsible for investigating food safety and quality related incidents discovered through customer complaints and reported internally.
- Oversees and manages Integrated Pest Control Program.
- Oversees and manages Testing and Analysis Program and manages Foreign Material Control Program.
- Coordinates and participates in monthly facility audits and inspections.
- Responsible for verification and validation activities as outlined in SQF code.
- Oversees and manages employees Food Safety and Quality training.
- Master's in Food Safety and Technology, Food Science, or related field and 2 years of work experience in related industry.
- SQF, HACCP, and PCQI Certified. Two years of work experience in related industry.
