Company: Switchcraft® – a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Products are used across medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast, and pro audio.

Location: Chicago, IL (Jefferson Park)

Shift: Second Shift 3:30 pm – 12:00 am

Pay: $17.60/Hour

Job Description: Assemblers work with table‑top presses and hand tools to assemble small electronic components. Candidates must follow instructions from group leaders or supervisors and work independently in a team environment. Basic reading and math skills required.

• Assemble plugs to patch cords, switches, and controls to cams; assemble resistors and capacitors to circuit boards; assemble PL switches; assemble Level Lite III switches; multi switches, DW switches.
• Insert contactor and compression springs using fixture.
• Insert terminals into bottom, attach clips to two sides, snap push button into top of switch housing for slide switches.
• Assemble and test data switches.
• Assemble and put terminal into uniswitches.
• Do frame assemblies.

• Vision acuity required.
• Strong gripping capabilities; required to grip with both hands, using fixtures occasionally to hold parts in place.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, generally seated, position for over 50% of the time.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
