Baker, Manufacturing ​/ Production

At Wet Noses Natural Dog Treat Company, the baker is responsible for performing a variety of baking duties to assist with the preparation of Wet Noses Natural Dog Treats, which includes direct and indirect contact with raw ingredients.

This job is performed in a
large industrial manufacturing setting,with ovens over
100 feet long
and mixers weighing
around 2,000 pounds
—this ensure we are able to meet the demands for our large orders of kibble and dog treats. The role requires
heavy lifting
and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

To perform the job of baker successfully; an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Mix raw ingredients per Wet Noses Natural Dog Treats specifications/batch sheets.
• Puts finished dough into hopper.
• Inspects treats to ensure they meet the standards required for production.
• Puts finished product into super sacks as required.
• Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action (Any member of management and/or supervisor).
• Wash hands prior to direct handling of food.
• Sanitation:
  Cleans and maintains work areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Knowledge of product & ingredients.
• Thorough understanding of dough consistency.
• Follows FIFO (First in, First Out) by rotating products.
