Production Manager, Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. The Line Leader in Manufacturing has full 24/7 responsibility and accountability for one production line metrics SQDCM. This role ensures output targets, quality and safety standards are consistently met while leading a team of Shift Leaders and operators in a structured coordinated environment. It is a key link between floor‑level execution and upper‑level production planning and performance monitoring.
HowYou Will Contribute
- Prevent incidents by ensuring a zero safety incidents mentality and culture in your line(s)/area.
- Enforce safety rules and ensure a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment.
- Promote 5S practices and standard visual management on the line.

- Monitor adherence to quality standards and take immediate action on non‑conformances.
- Ensure all quality checks, documentation, and traceability protocols are completed correctly.
- Ensure volumes are produced in time in full against production plan.
- Maintain accurate inventories in the line(s)/area by process order reconciliation and closure.
- React promptly to line stoppages, quality issues, and equipment malfunctions.
- Define the glide paths (SQDCM).
- Achieve productivity – deliver the volumes with the planned and budgeted headcount.
- Control area budget – deliver the volumes within available budget.
- Improve cost over time through systemic loss elimination and identifying losses.
- Build and grow high performing teams in your line(s)/area.
- Coach and develop direct reports and line teams.
- Plan succession and team backup.
- Own CIL, safety and quality SWP in the line.
- Set priorities through daily management system and effective escalation of issues.
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge/experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience), technical certification, or associate degree.
- 2–3 years in the current role + ready to promote + proven people leadership skills & capability.
- 1–2 years in a Process Engineer role with proven people leadership skills and capability.
- Knowledge of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems.
- Maintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including execution of AM & PM (break‑down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment.
- Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma experience, including qualification of AM steps 5–6, and PM step 3.
- Leading line teams.
- Handling challenging interpersonal situations tactfully.
- Influencing people in a union environment.
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing with a good attention to detail.
The base salary range for this position is $97,300 to $133,815; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for over‑achievement based on performance and company results.
