The HYROX Labs team is looking for a General Labor – Shop Technician
, located in Chicago, to support our innovation and R&D hub. HYROX Labs is where our equipment, technology, and event solutions are developed and built to power the next generation of HYROX races worldwide.

This hands-on role is central to ensuring that HYROX equipment meets our standards and is ready for global deployment. You’ll be working in our shop to fabricate, assemble, and maintain gear used in HYROX events – from shipping and logistics to repairs and upgrades. You will collaborate closely with the Production Manager and broader Labs team to help bring HYROX’s physical infrastructure to life.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fabricate, assemble, and maintain HYROX Labs equipment and components
• Solder and assemble electronic connectors and handle basic wiring tasks
• Conduct general repairs and facility maintenance, including workshop upkeep
• Assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving of event equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
• Provide support across the Labs team on an as‑needed basis

YOUR PROFILE

• Hands‑on mentality and high level of commitment
• Experience working with hand and power tools
• Basic soldering skills and understanding of electrical wiring
• Technical understanding and strong craftsmanship
• Willing to take on physically demanding tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and detail‑oriented
• Team player with a positive, solution‑driven attitude
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Prior experience in a workshop, warehouse, or fabrication setting is a plus
• Strong sense of quality and responsibility
• Organized and precise working style
• Motivated to contribute to process improvement and personal development
