Maintenance Technician III

Overview

DIS-TRAN Steel is seeking a Day Shift Maintenance Technician III at our Chicago Heights location. The role focuses on industrial maintenance with hydraulic and electrical equipment experience. Experience with software, CNC, and PLC is a plus. The Maintenance Technician III may train and motivate fellow employees, assuming a leadership role and training Maintenance Technician I and II. A strong safety record and alignment with company goals are expected.

• Perform industrial maintenance including hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Communicate effectively within an industrial culture.
• Train and motivate Maintenance Technician I and II; lead by example; promote company goals.
• Maintain an excellent safety record.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• 2+ years of prior industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of current Plant system; hydraulic and electrical background required.
• Communication in an industrial environment.
• Experience with software, CNC, and PLC is required.
• Ability to repair all Plant equipment.
• Ability to train individuals in Maintenance Technician I and II.
• Leadership ability; motivator and promoter of company goals.
• Excellent safety record.

Compensation: $34.50 - $40 per hour.
