Position Summary

Supervision of the area of responsibility and quality control of unit operations. The production Unit Supervisor will perform these functions in conjunction with production and packaging operations or any other relevant tasks.

Job Status

• Direct supervision of assigned personnel.
• Ensure the team works safely with correct PPE.
• Accountability and control of processes and packaging.
• Manufacturing documentation and timekeeping.
• Quality control system documentation and sampling.
• Generation of maintenance work orders and requests.
• Housekeeping and area cleanliness (5S).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Role Responsibilities

• Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions in English.
• Strong knowledge of math and communication skills related to tasks.
• Knowledge of processes and equipment in the assigned area.
• Troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair of processes and equipment.
• Supervise personnel in the area.
• Understand GMB policies on safety, waste disposal, and quality systems.
• Basic computer system operation related to tasks.
• Ensure safe unit operation.
• Collaborate with plant leaders on goals.
• Operate the 90-day accumulation area, including labeling and monitoring.
• Learn correct labeling, storage, inspection methods, and spill response procedures.

Education

• High school diploma/GED.
• 5 years manufacturing experience.
• In-house hazardous waste training.
• Knowledge of container and labeling requirements.

Experience / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

Job Expectations / Working Conditions

• Lift/move objects 5-50 lbs.
• Occasional bending, reaching, squatting, pulling, pushing.
