Food Safety Coordinator

You are fully responsible for the people, machinery and the identification and elimination of quality losses and problems in the department. You grow your team’s capabilities and coordinate departmental activities in accordance with corporate standards, local requirements and ISO standards.

In this role, you report directly to the plant manager with dotted line responsibility to corporate quality.

• Ensure that all quality objectives, goals and targets in the factory (including regional and global commitments) are met.
• Develop and track your department’s budget and eliminate losses.
• Lead regular plan‑do‑act‑check assessments to plan how targets will be met, execute the plan and periodically verify progress.
• Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, food‑safety and quality standards and consumer requirements of all manufactured products, and manage crisis situations internally and externally to support the company’s image, policies and business.
• Recruit and structure the department to ensure sufficient resources to deliver on plant objectives, set and assess performance goals, and coach and mentor team members.

• Relevant experience (operations, quality and/or R&D).
• Project management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commercial strategy process, product/package development process, food safety, plant commercialization, ingredient and package technology, and training and coaching technical material.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Statistical processes and problem‑solving techniques.
• Experience working with external manufacturing suppliers to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and with technical vendors to support compliance.
• Experience working with customers on quality related issues.

The base salary range for this position is $83,800 to $115,225. In addition to base salary, the position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility of over achievement based on performance and company results.
