Regional VP of Sales, Travel Services | Chicago, IL
We are seeking a high-impact revenue leader to accelerate regional growth and expand our enterprise market share. This senior role is responsible for driving corporate travel and technology solutions, owning the full sales lifecycle from new business development to strategic account expansion. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will lead a high-performing organization in a complex, high-stakes service environment.
Must-Have Qualifications- Experience:
10+ years of proven B2B field sales management experience. - Industry Expertise: A strong background in the travel industry is highly valued.
- Closing Record:
Proven ability to close net-new enterprise deals featuring long sales cycles and contract values ranging from $5M to $10M. - Stability: A consistent professional history with no evidence of job hopping.
- Leadership:
Experience recruiting, coaching, and managing a team of senior-level sales professionals.
- Revenue Growth:
Drive regional sales targets and new enterprise client acquisition across the mid-market and global sectors (up to $40M annual spend). - Team Leadership:
Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of five Senior Sales Directors to achieve peak performance. - Strategic Oversight:
Manage forecasting, pipeline health, and sales performance metrics to ensure predictable growth. - Global
Collaboration:
Support global bid development and cross-functional initiatives to strengthen the company’s market position. - Relationship Management:
Maintain a strong executive presence, engaging directly with C‑suite stakeholders and key suppliers. - Contract Negotiation:
Utilize deep financial acumen to oversee pricing strategies, complex contract negotiations, and ROI analysis.
- Deep knowledge of corporate travel operations, travel technology, and supplier ecosystems.
- Expertise in strategic sales planning and channel development.
- Strong executive presence with a track record of high-value service sales.
- Ability to travel as needed to support clients and regional team performance.
