Responsibilities
The Superintendent III is the lead operations professional for large-sized or multiple mid-sized projects and is responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of all on-site construction activities. Superintendent II oversees the work being performed, ensures adherence to the highest safety and quality standards, and manages schedule execution. A Senior Superintendent has the most contact with site personnel and serves as the company’s primary liaison to all the subcontractors and building staff, providing oversight of all site-specific operations personnel.
- Lead preconstruction reviews of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Develop and implement project execution plans to align with company objectives.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Construction Superintendents and field teams.
- Resolve conflicts, foster collaboration, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Ensure all projects meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Drive schedule adherence, manage risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress through detailed reporting.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, legal requirements, and company policies.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, designers, and key stakeholders.
- Represent the company at high-level meetings and presentations.
- Oversee the completion of punch lists and ensure seamless handover of Owner’s Service and Maintenance Manuals.
- Lead development and management of comprehensive construction schedules, driving sequencing, trade coordination, and milestone achievement from preconstruction through closeout.
- Coordinate directly with VP of Field Operations on schedule and logistics.
- Develop and implement the project safety plan, conducting daily site oversight, audits, and trade coordination to ensure strict compliance with EHS standards.
- Responsible for managing the project and, while not direct reports, the role has direct influence and interaction with project management, administration, accounting, and other field operations staff including the self-perform trades.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
The anticipated base salary range: $180,000 - $215,000
Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.
Qualifications- Minimum 15 years of experience serving as a Superintendent, with a proven track record of quality construction performance and operational leadership.
- Strong construction site leadership experience, including responsibility for field operations, subcontractor coordination, schedule management, quality control, and site logistics on projects of significant size and complexity.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling tools and project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, MS Project).
- OSHA 30-Hour certification is required, with First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
