We are seeking a hard‑working, dynamic Compliance Manager within our Affordable Housing portfolio who is detail oriented, enjoys new challenges, and thrives within a deadline-driven schedule. This position works remotely and reports to the Director of Compliance. The ideal candidate will have the ability to function autonomously while also working in conjunction with coworkers in other areas. Responsibilities include monitoring and implementing changes in HUD and LIHTC regulations, maintaining tenant files and records for regulatory accuracy, managing the affordable housing portfolio (including file reviews, onsite audits, certifications, transmitting rental assistance into state housing programs, and inputting tenant certifications into property management software), and facilitating training programs for site teams to inform and educate on requirements and responsibilities.
YouHave
- Minimum COS certification or similar certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of affordable housing regulations such as HUD, LIHTC, AHP, HAP, etc.
- Strong computer skills and experience with property management software (Onesite preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of administrative, file compliance, and affordable housing experience
- Working knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws, including Fair Housing, Landlord and Tenant laws
- Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to handle stressful and demanding situations in a calm, effective, and organized manner
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- LIHTC lease-up experience
- Proven ability to build trust with community members from diverse cultures and backgrounds to obtain information and solve problems
