Project Manager For GME

8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 AM)

Pay Range: $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

Summary

The Project Manager for GME drives projects that align with goals and objectives, develops detailed work plans, manages logistics, and communicates results across various stakeholders. This position is responsible for overseeing GME-related projects from inception to completion and acts as a liaison between the project team and senior management. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least five years of relevant work experience required.
  • Excellent organization skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrates the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail; analytical and problem-solving abilities with an ability to prioritize workload and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
  • Creates, maintains, and monitors schedule and comprehensive project documentation by tracking project performance in order to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Develops, disseminates, and delivers reports, presentations, and status updates for key stakeholders.
  • Manages logistics, maintains budgets, contracts related to projects.
  • Develops and implements monitoring and evaluation plans for GME institutional oversight.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Improves GME support and wellbeing for program directors through professional development opportunities.
  • Develops event concept and plan for program director development (orientation, leadership series, retreat, mentoring, newsletter, reporting modules, etc.) as part of the ongoing GME institutional strategic initiative.
  • Manages logistics, maintains budgets, contracts related to all the PD development events.
  • Partners with Director of Diversity and Inclusion and other DEI stakeholders in developing and implementing programs, partnerships, and activities focused on the recruitment, retention and advancement of medical trainees who identify as Underrepresented in Medicine (URM) throughout the residency programs and fellowships at Rush University Medical Center. Partners and presents with senior leadership to propose specific DEI ideas and strategies on recruitment, retention, and development as well as best practices that is in compliance with ACGME standards.
  • Develops and manages the Inclusion and Diversity external conference recruitment and job fair strategy, and event calendar. This includes maintaining budgets and managing logistics related to DEI.
  • Plans and participates in DEI-related events.
  • Manages day to day DEI operations.
  • Develops, disseminates, and delivers reports, presentations, and status updates for key DEI stakeholders.
  • Manages and oversee the activities in developing a 3x3 program in partnership with the Rush Medical College and the Associate Dean of Program Oversight and Development for Graduate Medical Education.
  • Creates and maintains project documentation.
  • Develops, disseminates, and delivers reports, presentations, and status updates for stakeholders.
  • Manages and oversee the activities in developing and implementing a program to evaluate residents with cognitive and learning disabilities in a standardized, evidence-based approach.
  • Uses innovative solutions to solve problems and modifies solutions when policies are present (specifically applicable accommodation regulations)
  • Plans and implements valuable resources for residents with learning disabilities through means of medical coaching, accommodations, etc.
