Overview

Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in the search for a Vice President of Development. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President of Development will play an essential role in developing philanthropic strategies and ensuring the philanthropic goals are successfully met. The VP will build, lead, and manage a dynamic, innovative, and sustainable financial base for the Council.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the overall development strategy, including individual giving (Board, major gifts, and annual fund) and institutional donors (corporations, foundations, and government entities).
  • Lead a high-performing development team, guiding growth to achieve and sustain annual philanthropic support of $12 million.
  • Collaborate across Council departments to cultivate a culture of philanthropy and maximize fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage and innovate fundraising and private event programs, such as the annual Global Leadership Awards Dinner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least twelve years of fundraising experience, preferably with leadership-level individual giving.
  • Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to the Council’s mission and inclusive, authentic leadership.
Benefits
  • Salary range: $200,000 to $215,000.
