About the role:

Serrala is looking for a dynamic and highly professional Project Manager to manage projects and lead a team of consultants on its AP software implementations both remotely and at customer sites. Demonstrated experience leading projects in the Accounts Payable (AP) space, including AP automation, invoice processing, and payment solutions.”

Core duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Lead and oversee a team of consultants and subject matter experts on AP-focused software implementation projects.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle for AP automation, invoice processing, and payment solutions, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Delegate tasks based on expertise, experience, and project priorities.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, and report against project budgets and timelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments specific to AP processes and provide actionable mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Serrala, clients, and third-party vendors for all AP project matters. Collaborate with sales and product teams to support pre-sales activities and continuous improvement of AP solutions
  • Address and resolve project-related questions, concerns, and escalations from clients and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for project timelines, budgets, and resource requirements to support proactive decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage expectations, and ensure alignment between project objectives and business goals.
  • Provide regular status updates, progress reports, and executive-level presentations to communicate project health, risks, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with AP-related regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, tax compliance, e-invoicing mandates).
  • Apply proven change management methodologies to guide teams and stakeholders through transitions, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Track and report on key AP performance metrics (e.g., invoice processing time, payment accuracy, cost savings).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What makes you excel in this position:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least five years of project management experience, with a minimum of three years leading Accounts Payable or financial operations projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with AP automation, invoice processing, and payment solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with leading AP technologies (e.g., SAP AP, Ariba, Coupa, Basware, Kofax, or similar platforms).
  • Strong understanding of AP best practices, compliance requirements, and process optimization.
  • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM) required; AP/finance certifications (e.g., CAPP, CAPM) are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Atlassian, MS Project).
