Risk Manager/Analyst

Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute a multi-year strategy for safety, risk, and sustainability aligned with Mark Anthony goals.
- Lead cross-functional integration of safety and sustainability into operations, capital projects, and procurement.
- Champion a Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) culture across all levels of the organization.
- Oversee risk identification, mitigation, and incident investigation processes.
- Drive environmental stewardship and ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and targets.
- Represent Mark Anthony externally in industry forums and community events.
Key Metrics & Financial Targets:
- Safety: TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting rates, BBS observation participation.
- Risk Management:
# of risk assessments completed, closure rate of corrective actions, incident recurrence rate. - Sustainability:
Reduction in carbon footprint, water usage, waste to landfill, energy consumption. - Compliance:
Audit scores, regulatory citations, training completion rates. - Financial Impact:
Cost avoidance through risk mitigation, ROI on sustainability initiatives, insurance premium reductions.
Own:
- Safety strategy and BBS program implementation
- Risk register and incident investigation framework
- Sustainability roadmap and ESG disclosures
Influence:
- Collaborate with site leadership and SLT to create strategy which aligns to the plant and corporate plan
Veto:
- Unsafe operational practices or capital project designs
- Risk mitigation plans that lack sufficient controls
- Non-compliance with regulatory, safety, sustainability policies
Critical Stakeholders & Relationships:
- People Operations (HR) for wellness and return-to-work programs, Legal for risk and compliance alignment
- Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance
Qualifications,
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or related field (Masters preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in safety, risk, & sustainability in plant operations

Compensation:
Compensation offered to prospective Team Members has taken internal equity into consideration and can vary depending on a positions’ location. The final agreed upon wage may vary based on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the individual.
- Competitive annual salary from $155,000 to $170,000, based in Illinois
