Sunstone Real Estate Advisors, the largest national brokerage firm focused exclusively on manufactured housing & RV communities, seeks a talented Director of Operations to join our growing team in Downtown Chicago.
The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years’ experience in a similar commercial real estate (CRE) environment, and is familiar with industry terminology, marketing and sales processes, licensing and compliance, and transaction management.
We’re seeking a collaborative, positive, growth-oriented individual to help support the firm’s brokerage team with a range of tasks from creating property marketing materials like OM’s & BOVs, working on social media + email marketing campaigns, assisting with client communication, deal management, due diligence coordination, and industry/company events.
This is a full-time, exempt, primarily in-office role located at 954 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607. The anticipated salary range for the role is $75, plus a discretionary bonus.
Base pay range$75,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr
A day in the life of a successful Director of Operations includes, but is not limited to:
- Provide office and compliance management and support to the Sunstone team including brokers, operations and underwriting teams, and executives
- Prioritize and monitor workflow, solving issues and escalating to executive leadership team and other departments as needed
- Hire, train, develop, and collaborate with other members of the operations team
- Aid in the provision of a ‘concierge’ level of service to brokers
- Be responsible for onboarding for all classifications of personnel including both employee and brokers locally, owning positive employee and broker experiences
- Assist sales management in the preparation of reports, local events, and other similar projects as needed
- Be responsible for facilities and logistics coordination for office needs – moves, remodels, reorgs, etc. including interfacing with executive leadership team
- Take part in the planning and coordinating office, company, and industry events throughout the year
- Work collaboratively with offices and departments across the firm
- Excellent soft skills: collaborative, proactive, and approachable with a strong desire to manage and develop team members and the sales office environment
- Intermediate/strong computer skills including Canva, real estate specific programs, Office
365, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook - Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills as well as proofreading and editing abilities
- Quick learner and you enjoy learning/working with software and technology
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual, take pride in owning your responsibilities, contributing to the team and leading by example
- 5+ years of experience in CRE office and staff management
- Experience‑based knowledge of compliance and HR functions
- Strong technological, design, and MS Office skills
- Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize workflow in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
