.

This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing 22 housing properties across Cook and Lake Counties
. The Director will set the vision and strategy for maintenance operations, capital improvements, and renovation projects—ensuring each property operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the organization’s mission to deliver exceptional housing and care for seniors.

You’ll lead a team of 20+ maintenance professionals
, oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and capital planning
, and play a key role in shaping long-term operational excellence across the portfolio.

• Lead strategic maintenance planning, preventive maintenance programs, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Oversee property renovations and capital projects, including potential ground-up developments.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and effective crisis response across all communities.
• Manage and develop a high-performing maintenance team across multiple locations.
• Drive budget planning, procurement, and cost control strategies.

• Associate’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree in business, facilities management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance operations, ideally within housing or property services.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams across multiple sites.
• Strong background in budgeting, cost management, and capital planning
