Facility Manager – JLL

As a Facility Manager at JLL, you will ensure the proper operation of all aspects of a facility while establishing, operating, and maintaining a comprehensive Facility Management program that allows the organization to manage and oversee Operations and Maintenance of the Building, Building Systems, and Equipment. This role requires you to be responsible for Environment of Care, Emergency Management, Life Safety Code compliance while fulfilling the role of Safety Officer.

You'll provide training and support to expand the capabilities of operations staff while directing contracted metaphor performance and implementing energy management programs that reflect JLL's commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

You'll provide training and assistance to extend the functional capabilities of the operations staff while controlling the contracted maintenance work and implementing energy management programs that align with JLL commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

What your day-to-day will look like Environment of Care and Safety Management
  • Serve as responsibleatzen for Environment of Care, Emergency Management, and Life Safety Code compliance
  • Fulfill the role of Safety Officer while ensuring all safety, environmental, and standards are strictly adhered to within managed facilities
  • Ensure compliance with portfolio-wide initiatives and required local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Ensure compliance by completing all related training, Action Items/Audit Responses, and critical PM completion on time
  • Provide hands‑on instruction in basic maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting procedures while demonstrating proper tool use
Operations and Maintenance Management
  • Provide training and support while aiming to expand capabilities of operations staff
  • Direct performance of contracted maintenance while instilling a high level of professionalism
  • Implement Life‑Cycle Asset Maintenance ensuring all critical equipment vendor PMs are completed per schedule
  • Manage hazardous materials compliance with policy and audit standards for safe storage, usage, and disposal
  • Implement energy management programs to reduce energy and water consumption by 2% while tracking performance
Financial and Administrative Management
  • Plan and forecast budget for operation and razão maintenance while recommending and estimating facility repairs and improvements
  • Manage budget and personnel responsibilities with proven managerial oversight
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission Environment of Care standards and regulations
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and Building Automation Systems for optimal facility performance
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of hospital facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience
  • Managerial experience required with proven budget and personnel responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care standards and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including report writing ability
  • Special knowledge and skills including exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office and Outlook email
  • CMMS experience (360 Facility, Maximo, etc.) and Building Automation System experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program, or technical trade school
  • CHFM Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, CPMM Certified Plant Maintenance Manager, CFM Certified Facility Manager, or other relevant certifications
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS - Siemens Apogee, Johnson Metasys, or Trane Tracer preferred)
  • Background in healthcare facility management and hospital operations
  • Knowledge of energy management programs and performance tracking systems
  • Understanding of hazardous materials compliance and regulatory requirements
