OVERVIEW
Cook County is seeking a Deputy Superintendent to support senior leadership in managing the day-to-day operations of the department. This key leadership role serves as a strategic liaison, overseeing operating and capital budgets, driving policy development and implementation, and providing operational oversight. The Deputy Superintendent supervises both mid-level and senior managers, ensures policy compliance, and exercises decision-making authority in the absence of senior leadership.
This is a critical role for a results-driven leader committed to public service and operational excellence.

ROLESUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the senior leadership in overseeing all operations of the bureau/department. Serves as a critical liaison between leadership, with significant responsibility for operating and capital budget management, policy development and implementation, and operational oversight.
