This Assistant Director position is managerial in nature and accountable for senior manager level functions. The role focuses on managing the Department's relationship with the Community Commission for Public Safety and Accountability (CCPSA) and related duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Coordinate the Department's relationship with CCPSA, including the Commission and District Councils.
- Provide support to District Commanders in coordinating with their respective District Councils.
- Manage the goal‑setting process, including preparation of quarterly updates and development of annual goals.
- Coordinate and fulfill written requests from the Commission and District Councilors.
- Plan and organize meetings and related activities.
Additional duties may be required.

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
This position is exempt from the career service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Nine (9) years of experience related to the responsibilities of the position, including two (2) years in a supervisory role.
- Graduation from an accredited college with an associate’s degree in a related field plus seven (7) years of related work experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory role.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus five (5) years of related work experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory role.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree or higher in a related field plus four (4) years of related work experience, including two (2) years in a supervisory role.
Applicants must successfully complete an interview. Successful candidates must pass a drug screen and a background investigation. All pre‑employment examinations must be completed prior to appointment.
