General Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance of all facilities and equipment of Muskingum Valley Health Centers (MVHC). This position will be responsible for the scheduling, planning and completion of preventative, corrective, and general maintenance including duties related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and Bio Med systems. This position will work with the Director of Facilities and Facilities Manager in completion of special projects for MVHC.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • At least 5 years of experience in Maintenance/Facilities work
  • Ability to see a problem, find a solution, and follows through
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
Working Conditions:
  • Lift, carry, pull, or push objects up to 75 lbs. consistently depend upon task.
  • May need to climb ladders or crawl into low spaces
  • May need to bend, stoop, or reach with hands and arms
  • Hand and finger dexterity to operate tools and equipment
  • Ability to stand for 1-2 hours at a time consistently; may need to walk or stand for extended periods
  • May be exposed to noise, dust and may work in all types of weather conditions and temperatures
  • Average working hours with possible non-traditional hours
  • Potential for exposure to blood and body fluids
Specific

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages and assists with preventative maintenance on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis including inspections, repairs and replacement of parts and keeps record of scheduled maintenance
  • Coordinate Bio-Med maintenance on equipment that requires special servicing and calibration with outside vendors
  • Manages and performs minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs
  • Works with contractors when they are on site
  • Performs touch up, finishing, and painting
  • Facilitates and participates in general cleaning, painting and repair work
  • Snow removal to ensure safety of patients, visitors, and employees
  • Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs
  • Works with the Director of Facilities and Facility Manager to perform special projects
  • May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems
  • Responds to emergency maintenance request as required
  • Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings
  • Required to drive to multiple locations to complete job duties
