Job Description: The janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the company's facilities. Duties include routine cleaning, sanitizing high-touch areas, and supporting overall facility upkeep. This role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. The janitor reports to the Vice President of Maintenance & Operations and may receive direction from other managers as needed.

Essential Duties | What You'll Do:
- Cleans, washes, dusts, vacuums all public interior and exterior areas and main production areas and offices of the facilities according to established cleaning schedules.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, kitchens, cafeteria, and patio areas.
- Empties garbage according to established disposal standards. Cleans and sanitizes garbage bins.
- Works with Repair and Maintenance Technicians on projects in facilities.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, ensuring that necessary materials (e.g., cleaning products, paper towels, toilet paper) are stocked and available.
- Maintain the facility in a clean and orderly condition both inside and outside, including snow removal, lawn care, and general landscaping duties.
- Familiar with the proper use and safety procedures for various cleaning chemicals.
- 2-4 years of facility housekeeping experience.
- Good knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment that may include floor machine, vacuum cleaners, hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure, dollies, and 8 foot and 12-foot ladders.
- Good attention to detail and follow-through skills.
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and reach during entire work shift.
- Able to walk 100% of the work shift.
- Must be able to move and climb ladders without accommodation.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull 40-50 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Must be able to tolerate cold, heat and humid conditions.
- Ability to work weekends is needed.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Hourly wage: $18.00 to $22.00 based on experience.
- Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws.
