Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

At Balyo, we design and deploy some of the most advanced robotic lift trucks on the market. Founded in France in 2005 and established in North America since 2013, we work closely with leading OEMs such as Hyster‑Yale Group and Linde Material Handling to automate industrial vehicles used worldwide — including high‑lift applications up to 17 meters.

The position is based in the Chicago, IL area, with frequent travel (around 50%), mainly across the US and occasionally internationally, depending on project needs.

In this field‑based, customer‑facing position, you will play a key role in after‑sales support and maintenance of our robotic lift trucks deployed at customer sites. You will work closely with customers, integrators, OEM partners and dealers.

• Troubleshooting and repairing robotic lift trucks, including lasers, sensors and communication equipment
• Performing regular maintenance tasks (inspection, lubrication, cleaning, replacement of worn parts)
• Documenting action plans, interventions and final resolutions for all support activities
• Supporting installations, ramp‑up phases and project go‑lives
• Performing robot retrofits, upgrades and calibrations (AGVs) to ensure optimal performance
• Conducting test, quality checks and routine inspections to identify potential issues
• Testing new hardware and participating in continuous improvement
• Providing on‑the‑job training (OJT) for users and technicians when required

• 3–5+ years of experience as a technician on electrical forklifts (required)
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including electrical/electronic systems
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Solid communication skills and a strong customer‑service mindset
• Comfortable with MS Office tools
• Valid driver’s license and passport (or ability to obtain one)
• Ability to safely operate lift trucks
• Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)

• Salary: $50,000 – $90,000 per year (DOE)
