Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our industrial manufacturing client located on the northwest side of Chicago. The ideal candidate will have extensive industrial maintenance management experience and a proven track record of leading maintenance teams. This role involves supervising and directing maintenance employees and contractors, ensuring efficient and effective completion of tasks, and maintaining the proper functioning of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a maintenance team of mechanics and electricians
• Assigning preventative maintenance tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively.
• Training maintenance team and providing feedback
• Managing the maintenance team schedules and ensuring adequate coverage
• Planning maintenance as it relates to all industrial equipment
• Ensuring emergency maintenance requests are completed promptly to ensure maximum uptime
• Ensuring inspections of industrial equipment and facilities are completed in a proper matter
• Performing maintenance work and training other maintenance staff
• Procuring and managing the inventory of equipment, supplies and tools
• Ensuring maintenance team complies with safety and regulations
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities

Essential/Technical Skills:

• Maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• General understanding of various maintenance disciplines, such as AC motors, mechanical experience, plumbing and HVAC
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix industrial equipment
• Experience with CMMS, MS Office and CAD is a plus
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not necessary
