Customs Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Entry Writer to support the day-to-day operations of a large international freight forwarder. This role involves managing timely and accurate entry submissions, ensuring compliance, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

• Prepare and submit CHB entries, classifications, and OGA filings in a timely manner
• Provide dispatch support and assist in coordinating ISF filings 48–72 hours before vessel departure
• Monitor and process statements under the guidance of the Import Manager
• Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating effectively with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal offices
• Handle billing processes and approve vendor invoices
• Stay updated on customs regulations to ensure full compliance with legal and company requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in customs brokerage
• Strong customer service skills with frequent interaction via phone, email, and in person
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  
  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
