We are recruiting for an Operations Manager for our client, a leading family‑owned U.S.‑based importer and wholesale distributor of eyeglass frames. With global sourcing relationships and domestic warehousing, they supply optical retailers, clinics, and a major national retail chain. As they continue to scale, they are seeking a tactical and execution‑focused Operations Manager to drive operational efficiency across the supply chain.
TheOpportunity
This is a hands‑on role for an experienced operations manager who thrives on maintaining efficient systems and overseeing daily workflows. You will manage the end‑to‑end operational flow—from international import logistics to last‑mile fulfillment—ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.
Core ResponsibilitiesDemand Forecasting & Inventory Planning
- Execute statistical demand forecasting and inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels across premium, mid‑range, and budget product lines.
- Analyze historical sales data and seasonal trends to generate accurate purchasing recommendations and replenishment strategies.
- Manage safety stock targets to maximize fulfillment rates while minimizing slow‑moving inventory and obsolescence.
- Monitor key inventory metrics including turns, fill rates, and stock‑to‑sales ratios, reporting variances to management.
ERP & Systems Management (Microsoft Business Central)
- Serve as the primary functional user for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring data integrity between sales, inventory, and purchasing modules.
- Troubleshoot daily system errors and maintain accurate item master data, including pricing, costs, and dimensions.
- Partner with IT to enhance WMS workflows and drive system capabilities that support accurate reporting and scalability.
Import Logistics & Supply Chain Execution
- Coordinate the end‑to‑end supply chain flow, tracking overseas vendor shipments from origin through U.S. customs clearance to final receipt.
- Manage daily compliance tasks, ensuring accurate customs documentation, tariff classifications, and country‑of‑origin labeling.
- Review freight rates and shipping terms to ensure cost‑effectiveness and adherence to delivery schedules.
Warehouse Operations & Fulfillment
- Supervise daily warehouse workflows, including receiving, quality control, picking, packing, and returns processing.
- Enforce and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent operational execution.
- Monitor warehouse team performance against KPIs such as order accuracy and fulfillment lead times.
Operational Reporting & Collaboration
- Generate weekly operational dashboards regarding inventory health, inbound freight status, and shipping accuracy for leadership review.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to provide accurate lead times and resolve availability issues.
- Assist in managing the operations budget by tracking freight, warehousing, and labor expenses.
Required Experience
- 5–7 years of operations or supply chain management experience, preferably in import/distribution or consumer goods.
- 3+ years of direct experience managing inventory and operations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Proven track record managing daily warehouse operations and supervising teams.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. import regulations, customs clearance processes, and international freight logistics.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
- ERP Proficiency:
Strong technical command of Business Central for inventory management. - Forecasting Accuracy:
Ability to use historical data to predict demand and manage safety stock. - Tactical Execution:
Hands‑on management of the daily warehouse and import life cycles. - Process Discipline:

Salary Range: $100K- $125K
