Corporate Transactional Paralegal

Hybrid opportunity with a highly-sophisticated Chicago firm. This Jobot Job is hosted by Colleen Gormley. Our client, a highly-sophisticated law firm based in Chicago, is seeking a Corporate Transactional Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with M&A transactions, excellent communication and technical skills, and thrive in a team environment while taking initiative.

• Supports business, finance and real estate transactions of all types
• Preparation and management of checklists
• Prepares ancillary closing documents
• Drafts and files entity formation and governance documents
• Prepares and files IRS documents
• Organizes and maintains entity records
• Prepares and files UCC Financing Statements
• Oversees preparation of electronic closing books
• Effectively utilizes the firm’s docketing system to track matters
• Communicates with clients and third parties throughout the course of a matter
• Prepares and files Form D and Blue Sky filings

• Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant corporate transactional and finance experience
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Strong technical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and ability to adjust to changing project priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Experience with drafting corporate documents
• Experience preparing and organizing closing documents
• A demonstrated commitment to providing superior client service
• Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed
