A well-established Law firm in Chicago is excited to welcome a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to our Real Estate team in Chicago. If you have commercial real estate experience and enjoy being part of a fast-paced legal environment, this is a great opportunity to grow your career. As a key member of our team, you’ll support attorneys who handle real estate and loan financing transactions, helping keep everything running smoothly from start to finish.
You’ll be the go-to person for preparing documents, managing schedules, coordinating travel, and keeping communication flowing with clients and partners. While your focus will be on real estate, you’ll also have the chance to assist across the firm, making every day interesting and varied. This fully on‑site role offers a competitive salary of $70,000-$93,000, eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance with HSA/FSA options, dental and vision coverage, short‑ and long‑term disability, life insurance, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, a parking/public transportation allowance, and access to an employee assistance program.
- Take charge of real estate and loan financing transactions, ensuring deadlines are met every step of the way
- Communicate directly with clients, lenders, title companies, and other important contacts to keep deals on track
- Prepare, review, and organize closing documents with a sharp eye for detail and legal standards
- Collaborate with attorneys to draft and finalize critical transaction paperwork
- Support the due diligence process and help solve any challenges that arise
- Keep transactional files neat, organized, and ready for quick reference
- Draft professional letters, legal documents, and client correspondence
- Proofread and format documents to ensure clarity and accuracy
- Manage conflict checks and related documentation smoothly and accurately
- Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, and conference calls without a hitch
- Handle travel arrangements and process expense reports efficiently
- Manage client-facing documents and follow up on important administrative tasks
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in commercial real estate or loan financing
- Exceptional organization and communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with confidence
- A professional attitude paired with discretion and good judgment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
- A team player who is proactive and ready to take initiative
- Comfortable managing both electronic and physical legal files
