IP Docketing Specialist - CHI and SF

We have two outstanding career opportunities for an IP Docket Specialist to join a leading law firm with locations and openings in Chicago and San Francisco.

• Manage all docketing activities related to Intellectual Property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Use IP software (such as CPi) to calendar, track deadlines for domestic and international IP filings.
• Generate customized docket reports for attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff as requested.
• Work with legal teams on upcoming docket deadlines, ensuring timely clearance of tasks.
• Oversee and execute projects related to docketing improvements or updates.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and procedures regarding docketing practices.

• Minimum 3-5 years of IP docketing experience in a law firm or corporate setting preferred.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark procedures.
• Familiarity with online IP databases and systems such as PAIR, ePCT, TSDR, etc.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Experience with CPi docketing software strongly preferred.
