About the Position: Our client, an elite Am Law 50 firm, has an active need for a finance lawyer with 5+ years of venture capital/emerging growth experience to join its Chicago office as a professional track attorney. This practice has a global reach and has been nationally recognized for its work, and this position will have a strong focus on working with emerging growth companies and the institutional investors that support them.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and manage preferred stock financings, bridge financings, and SAFE financings
• Manage due diligence on M&A transactions and venture financings
• Advise clients on various corporate governance matters

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience supporting venture capital financings, M&A transactions, and corporate governance matters, preferably at a large law firm
• Familiarity with standard emerging growth and venture capital forms

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 – $300,000.
