An AmLaw-recognized law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Litigation practice with a focus on health care matters in Chicago.
This role is well-suited for an associate with strong civil litigation experience who is interested in complex, high-stakes disputes involving regulated industries, including health care, and who wants exposure to sophisticated litigation and arbitration matters.
The RoleThe associate will work closely with partners and senior attorneys on a range of litigation matters, including health care–related disputes, class actions, commercial litigation, and arbitrations. The practice offers meaningful responsibility, hands‑on involvement in written discovery and motion practice, and exposure to complex matters with significant regulatory and business implications.
Ideal Background- 2–5 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience with written discovery, legal research, and drafting motions
- Health care litigation or regulatory experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong academic credentials and excellent writing and analytical skills
- Comfortable managing matters with increasing autonomy
- Admitted in Illinois or eligible to waive in
- Highly regarded litigation practice with national reach
- Sophisticated, high‑stakes matters involving regulated industries
- Exposure to class actions, commercial disputes, and arbitrations
- Lean, collaborative team structure with direct partner access
- Hybrid flexibility in the Chicago office
- Compensation commensurate with experience and market
