Intake Specialist

Ankin Law is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant prior experience as a workers’ compensation or personal injury legal assistant or paralegal. This role requires a keen ability to evaluate cases from a business perspective and a talent for converting hesitant callers into clients, ensuring that all callers feel supported and valued.

This role requires your presence full-time in our downtown office.

• Conduct initial assessments of potential cases through phone consultations.
• Research and evaluate cases with a strong business acumen, identifying viable claims and potential legal issues efficiently.
• Build rapport with callers, providing reassurance and support throughout the intake process.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of all communications and case evaluations.
• Provide exceptional client service, addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
• Utilize legal software to document case information accurately.

• Significant experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, specifically in plaintiff’s personal injury or workers’ compensation.
• Proven ability to assess cases from both a legal and business perspective.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse client base.
• Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Salary range: $45,000 to $65,000 per year plus potential incentive, overtime, and benefits.
