Insurance Recovery Associate; Lateral

An AmLaw-recognized law firm is seeking a lateral associate to join its Insurance Recovery practice in Chicago.

This role is well-suited for an associate with experience representing policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes who is interested in sophisticated, high-stakes matters across a range of industries.

The associate will work closely with partners and senior attorneys on insurance recovery and coverage matters, including advising policyholders, litigating coverage disputes, and pursuing recoveries under commercial insurance policies. The practice involves complex litigation and counseling related to major losses, regulatory matters, and commercial disputes.

• Prior experience in insurance recovery or insurance coverage litigation
• Experience representing policyholders preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Comfortable managing matters with increasing autonomy
• Admitted in Illinois or eligible to waive in

• Highly regarded Insurance Recovery practice with national reach
• Sophisticated, high-stakes coverage disputes and litigation
• Lean, collaborative team structure with direct partner access
• Hybrid flexibility in the Chicago office
• Compensation commensurate with experience and market
