Associate Attorney

Overview

A nationally recognized, business-focused AmLaw 200 law firm with a strong global footprint is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate with 2–5 years of experience in intellectual property prosecution and litigation. This position is based in the firm’s Chicago or San Francisco office.

Its market-leading practices include global transportation finance, finance and M&A, employment class action litigation, white collar litigation and government investigations, investment services, and executive compensation.

• 2–5 years of experience handling intellectual property prosecution and litigation matters

• Prior experience at an AmLaw 120 firm
• Demonstrated experience in both IP prosecution and IP litigation

• Manage and support a wide range of intellectual property prosecution and litigation matters
• Work closely with senior attorneys and shareholders on complex, high-stakes matters
• Provide strategic IP counseling to clients across various industries

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Strong academic credentials

• Strong analytical, writing, and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Active membership in the Illinois or California State Bar
• Must be based in or willing to work from Chicago or San Francisco
