Real Estate Attorney, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are searching for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join a mid-sized law firm! This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office), a standard 40-hour workweek, comprehensive benefits, and competitive compensation based on experience.
Qualifications- Minimum of 10 years of commercial real estate experience, gained in a law firm environment
- Strong background supporting commercial real estate transactions
- Advanced knowledge of title and survey review and real estate due diligence
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and clients
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support across all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financings, and development matters
- Support transactions from initial drafting through closing and post-closing, ensuring accuracy, organization, and adherence to deadlines
- Review, analyze, and summarize title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and other due diligence materials, and coordinate resolution of title and survey issues
- Assist attorneys with the preparation, review, and organization of transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, easements, and closing deliverables
- Manage closing logistics and mechanics, including preparing and maintaining closing checklists, coordinating signatures, and liaising with clients, lenders, and opposing counsel
- Handle post-closing tasks, including recording, document distribution, and maintenance of transaction files
- Communicate and coordinate with third parties as needed, including title companies, surveyors, lenders, opposing counsel, and regulatory agencies
- Track and manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced law firm environment
- Serve as a key resource to attorneys by proactively identifying issues and supporting efficient deal execution
